Sales Tax Paid July 4th Sale

Celebrate our nation's independence with our "Independence from Sales Tax Sale" this week. All sales tax paid this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on all items except closeouts. Happy July 4th to all.

Beautiful Saturday

At work today. I'm looking outside and the weather is just about perfect. I worked with a couple this morning wanting to do a total kitchen renovation in Van Buren. I'll meet them at their house week after next. I helped another woman look at options for applying tumbled stone on her backsplash. I loaded up two orders that came in for customers. Other than that, I'm waiting for the Razorbacks to win big in Omaha.

The Economy and Customers

It's tough right now for everyone. People are so hesitant to make big-ticket purchases, or they just don't have the disposable income to do so because of lay-offs or firings. We here at Damon's understand this. We are believers in you can build a better mouse trap. We are re-tooling our product lines to allow for a better price range mix. We are working with our vendors on securing even lower pricing, and watching to keep costs as low as possible to allow us to offer even lower prices to our customers.

Don't Be Fooled By Lumber Liquidators

I received a flyer in the mail at my home from Lumber Liquidators today stating $1.99 a square foot for professional installation on laminate and cork and $2.50 a square foot on solid and engineered wood with a free in home estimate. It goes on to say how you'll be suprised how low their installation cost is. Let me explain a few details. We offer the same installations for $.50 less a square foot, that could be a savings of several hundred dollars depending on the job size.

Carpet at Low Prices

All carpet remnants are $50 this weekend. Come in for the savings of a life time.

Memorial Month Sale

Come in during the month of May and take advantage of our "Memorial Month Sale" promotion. Take an additional 10% off our already low prices on selected hand-scraped engineered hardwood flooring and Stainmaster branded carpet. Quality like this at low prices... good to go.

Re Bath Cheaply

Some companies offer to redo you bathroom by simply masking, or covering up the old tub or shower by encapsulating it. This is nothing more than  a plastic cover up; a bandage of sorts.  You still have the old molded tub and tile underneath and no detection will be done to see if damage has been done behind the walls. This is not the proper way to redo your bath. Quality work and craftsmanship is the best way, not a "quick", one day fix.

Economy Looking Better

There seems to be a better mood these days among people about the overall health of the nation. People are a little more able to spend and shop, and there's an aire of optimism among them. President Obama says there's signs of recovery and experts are predicting the recession should end around September, but the employment sector won't recover until 2010. We do look forward to a growth spurt and a lower unemployment rate... I just hope we can pay for it all.
